Role: Lotus Day Centre & Hoarding Peer Support Worker
Hours: Hoarding – 14 hours, day centre 17.5 hours = 31.5 hours per week.
Fixed term contract: End of December 2017, with the possibility of extension
Salary: £22,700 – £23,000 pro rata, per annum

Mind in Ealing and Hounslow (MiEH) are looking for someone who has a passion for mental health. The dual role of day entre worker and hoarding peer support facilitator would suit an individual who has great communication and organisational skills as well as the ability and experience to facilitate peer support groups.

Mental Health Advice Caseworker

Salary: £24,525 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Ends November 2017, with possibility of extension
Loction: Ealing Mind and various other community locations

An opportunity has arisen within our Pathways project working as part of the Ealing Specialist Advice Service (ESAS) to provide advice, information, guidance and client representation to adults with mental health in the borough of Ealing. This is a rare opportunity to join a growing and lively charity, where your ideas and contributions will be highly valued and your professional development will be supported.

This is a 6 month fixed term contract to start immediately, ending November 2017 - with the possibility of extension.

We are looking for a dynamic advice worker with experience of General Help with Casework on issues around benefits, housing, debt, employment and other practical issues.

You should be highly competent with experience of local knowledge and excellent negotiation skills. You must have an excellent telephone manner and be able to empathise with our service users’ whist still giving impartial advice in a non-judgmental way. You must be able to demonstrate your effectiveness as an adviser and will be able to give higher levels of advice with minimum supervision. As the role is to provide advice to mental health clients, you should also be an individual who is confident, patient and able to deliver supportive advice in a manner that is easily understood.

You will be part of two teams; ESAS, based at a location with one of the partners and MiEH working with other advisors and volunteers so the ability to work with others and share workload to achieve overall targets is absolutely crucial.
